Growing up, while other kids were off playing tag, I was the one watching Fashion Police on e-news, dreaming of becoming best friends with Joan Rivers. When she passed away, I felt like I had lost a friend (but that’s a story for another time). What can I say? Some kids dream of being astronauts; I dreamed of having the best outfits in the room. Maison des Nus began in my small New York studio apartment, where a 24-year-old took a leap of faith and quit her journalism job to create an affordable luxury brand—one that’s playful with a touch of l’esprit libre.
